Shining bright and strong, our Content Tree for the House Of India shipped to San Diego, California! "These cottages are maintained by the House of Pacific Relations, a consortium that represents 33 cultures with the goal of encouraging multicultural goodwill and understanding" - Times of San Diego.

We were stoked to see how it turned out, this Banyan tree representation is made up of an amalgamation of 2 metals, MS and copper. The structure is Iron with wrapped copper wire and MS leaves painted and welded. The roots of the tree are also copper. This installation's main purpose is to provide information about leading Indians, Nobel Prize winners and Trailblazers - photos of which are on the leaves on either sides.

The hanging scrolls (that are also made out of copper) have information about some cool places to visit in India and things to see. We chose to build a Banyan tree due to its deep significance in Indian culture. The tree was accompanied by a mural on the Dandi March with a full line figure of Mahatma Gandhi, along with an intrinsic textile wall installation.
